Restart your remote desktop
Recently , when i logged in to my office desktop via remote desktop, felt that machine is running out of resources and is fully hanged up...:-s)
So as usual what came into my mind is to restart option for the machine..But i'm in desktop..Can i do it via remote desktop..?
i tried the usual way - Start ---> Shutdown/Restart..
but windows start menu is not allowing me the usual options there . it shows only lock / Disconnect.
So i gave a try with the golden rule.. == Google it !
Found some hits and followed below steps to get this working..
Start --> Run (usual run command window) --> type in shutdown -i
It gave me a window to select some options and restart my remote machine.
You can even shutdown the machine - if you wish to do so..:)
And also you can set a message to show other user as well.. so at least they will see the
message , why the machine is getting restart.
